Inspired by an original cartoon by David Teniers II (1610 – 1690) made in Brussels in 1650 in the workshops of Jerome le Clerc and Jacques Van der Borcht. This tapestry was woven in Van der Hecke workshops. A favourite theme for loom craftmen, scenes of village celebrations are a perfect example of the colourful and happy country side life.
