Vines and acanthuses, William Morris
This tapestry was drawn and weaved in 1879 by William Morris. The original work is exposed to Kelmscott Manor to Oxforshire, Morris’s house at that time. It is the only big tapestry weaved by the very artist.
Here, the factory of Potbellied knew how to reproduce at best this tapestry, on Jacquard loom, in the point of Meurins. This tapestry is weaved in France. It is doubled and lends to rest in the wall. A certificate of authenticity is stuck on the back of the tapestry.
