This artist’s tapestry is a beautiful representation of Mirò’s painting “L’Or de l’Azur”. This canvas was painted in 1967. Today, Tapisseries de Flandres offers this work as a high quality woven tapestry. The weaving is done in a factory in the north of France on jacquard looms.
On the occasion of the 135th anniversary of the “Pansu” factory, the latter has created a unique collection of tapestries based on a selection of Mirò’s paintings. In agreement with the Mirò Estate, the motifs had to be chosen that could be transferred from the canvas to the weave while maintaining the strength of the colours and the purity of the lines.
