THE DANCE, “The Arts” series by Alphonse Mucha, 1898.

In 1898, painter Alphonse Mucha created a series of paintings entitled “Les arts”. The distinctive feature of these paintings is that each represents a moment of the day. Here, “The Dance” is the first color lithographic poster in the “Arts” series. It depicts the morning breeze rustling the fallen leaves.

This “Danse de Mucha” tapestry is a reproduction of Alphonse Mucha’s painting in the form of a woven hanging.
