This cover depicts the air, based on the late 14th-centuryAngers Apocalypse tapestry. The tapestry was woven by Nicolas Bataille from cartoons by Hennequin de Bruges. It was intended for Duke Louis 1er d’Anjou. The colors of the cover are faithful to those of the hanging, woven on a Jacquard loom in a factory in northern France.
