Mucha was the originator of Art Nouveau. He liked to work in series of panels. Alphonse Mucha thus executed the 4 seasons. Spring, summer, autumn andwinter.

To represent autumn, Mucha chose a beautiful young woman wearing a crown against an autumn-colored background.
