This tapestry depicts two figures and animals on a background of millefleurs.
One of the figures, handling the scales, is the inventor of weighing with weights. The other is forging a metal bar on an anvil, close to a fire. This tapestry was woven around 1980 at Point d’Halluin, by the Pansu factory in northern France. The tapestry is in very good condition, with only the color of the lining (behind the tapestry) faded.
